The History of the Sri Nagar

Srinagar is the summer capital and principal city of the Indian-administered union region of Jammu and Kashmir. The city is on the Jhelum River's banks and is encircled by the Himalayas. Srinagar's long history dates back to the third century BC when it was part of the Mauryan Empire. It has been governed by numerous dynasties over the years, including the Mughals, Sikhs, and British.
